Announcement!

Announcement #1:  We're going to have another little one in early November!  Cannon wrote that on the board himself... then he ate the chalk.  :)

Announcement #2:  Cannon discovered yesterday that he loves corn on the cob.  Who doesn't?  Timothy got a new grill that takes up about half of the backyard, so it's going to be a fun summer.  :)

Announcement #3:  If you're ever babysitting Cannon (come visit!!), keep a close eye on him all the time.  Yesterday he climbed to the top of a 6 ft. ladder.  Don't worry--I was there spotting him.  He didn't even hesitate until the second to last step... then he stopped, read the warning label that says, "Do not stand at or above this rung", and proceeded to climb to the top step.  Timothy would have liked to teach him how to jump off onto the bed while he was up there, but we're saving that for when he turns 2!

90 Degrees and Sunny--Whoa!

We hardly know what that means in Leadville! We see those temps for a couple of weeks a year, but Cannon and I went to Florida in early May to visit my parents.  For a few days we got plenty of pool time and rides in the golf cart.  We ended up taking a slight detour to Indiana on our way home, so we got to hang out with my siblings and their kiddos as well.  Fun times!

This is a boy who LOVES to drive.  If it has wheels, he wants to be near it (he was known to crawl up to strangers to check out the wheels on their luggage during our travels!). Better yet, if it has a steering wheel, he wants to turn it.

Happy Birthday, Happy Spring!

We spent Cannon's first birthday in Steamboat Springs, where Timothy was taking a week-long class.  Dad went to class all day everyday, and Mom and babe rode around town on the bike, walked, spent countless hours in the park and library, etc.  It was spring there!  Leadville is still waiting for the warmth to hit....

This was taken during Cannon's few weeks' refusal to wear a bib.  Rather than ruin his clothes, we elected to have him dine naked.

Cousins

We took a little detour during our trip to Florida, and ended up in Indiana visiting family! Here is Cannon with his three cousins: Morgan, Avery, and Hadleigh.
